BADDIES IN THE BACKSEAT

Over on my YouTube channel — @Tiernan Towey — I have been recording interviews with my friends. We talk about their daily lives and find the magic within the mundane. Im having so much fun having deep one on one conversations with these fascinating people. The show is called BADDIES IN THE BACKSEAT, and I write it in all capital letters because I sing it every time I say it.

“Find the magic within the mundane.” Is a quote from a college friend of mine, she said it kind of off handedly one day, and it has stuck with me all these years, and has made it into the tagline of the show itself! Bravo to her and her brain.

Im a little bit addicted to finding that electricity between myself and another person, being able to have such stimulating conversations and following that rabbit hole of curiosity, it’s the best.

The BACKSEAT, is the back seat of my car. My free, 2004 Subaru forester that I have decorated with faux vines to transform it into The Jungle. This is where I film this show, using my iPhone camera, a Blue Yeti microphone and a big bag of dreams. The best part of filming in my vehicle is that I can transport the set anywhere I need to! Huzzah!

I like to have “a little guy” in the middle of myself and the guest, in one episode I put sunglasses on a faux-plant-orb. One of those decorative outdoor oddities you can pick up at a hardware store — and sat that between us. Next episode I plan on taking this toy R2-D2 with me. A Toy that moves around on its own, makes all the classic sounds, and has been with me since I was a child.

Oh, Im so excited to continue this path, and I do hope you’ll join me.
